Default can you time an 85 us car?

When I did my TB and I pulled out the timing light and i went under the hood... I got a surprise I knew about but never put togehter... 2 distributers and they dont move? How do you time this thing?

The computer does ALL the timing...there is no adjustment short of chips

hmmm.... that may explain a lot.

I put in some RPM chips. Real ones not knock offs. and it seems like I have a loss of power between 2500-4000 RPM... if i could get this car to pull all the way through the rpm range i would be thrilled

Put your old chips back in and see if that changes anything.

the old chips were flat, so to speak on the whole power band

Sounds like you might have other issues to deal with before chipping.

+1, Mine doesn't 'flatten out' there. It just pulls and pulls and pulls!!!

Have you checked if your air temp sensor is connected, and your octane loop is disconnected?

No I have not can you tell me more? If the air temp sensor is the sensor on the bottom of the airbox, yes it is connected. The octane loop? I have no idea what that even is.

It is two wires with matching connectors that when connect retard the timing to allow you to run lower octane gas.

Pull the lid to the fuse box and look in the area of the brains.
