Default Uday Hussein and his 928

I found this online somehow:
--------------------------
"It was a bright Baghdad day in the late '70s when a black Porsche 928 roared into the courtyard of the exclusive, all-boys Baghdad School. Behind the wheel was 14-year-old Uday Hussein [Saddam's son], one foot on the dash, a Cuban cigar in his mouth, and a trashy, peroxide blonde draped across his lap. When he stepped out of the car, his outfit of jeans and a T-shirt contrasted sharply with the jacket-and-tie uniforms worn by the other boys

Uday dragged his girlfriend into his math class. The professor was outraged at this lack of decorum but could say nothing. He'd heard about the elderly professor who gave Uday a low mark and the next day was dragged out of class by the teenager's bodyguards and beaten with cricket bats.

"The professor started the class. Within a minute, Uday was up, walking his girlfriend to the door. 'For the offense of boring me,' Uday warned the teacher as he reached the door, 'when I become the ruler of Iraq, I'm going to have you shot.'"

[On another occasion, Uday made a group of gypsy singers stand in a line, drop their pants, and sing while he shot a machine gun over their heads until they urinated from fear. Fortunately for his professor, Uday was killed during American operations in Iraq in 2003.]

Hussein, Uday (1964-2003) Iraqi tyrant, son of Saddam Hussein

Below is a photo of Saddam's 928. I'd love to see a pic of Uday's 928.

As an Army Reserve MP Captain, it always makes me proud to be part of the team that takes down idiots like that. The story makes me glad Sadaam and his son no longer exist in this world. Thank you for sharing this.

A huge "HUAH" for our Military serving overseas

would anyone want Saddams old 928, if you could buy it?

would you be more interested in having the former car of this guy, or would its history scare you away?

That pic is really creepy, its a great pic but it does speak allot when you know its story.

Maybe we need a new thread: "Infamous people & the 928"...

Bit disturbing really that 'our' cars are in any way associated with people like that, but then - why wouldn't bad guys want cool cars ?

Cheers,
Erling

Erling, unfortunately "our cars", tht is Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Saab, and many others are associated with Hitler. In a very unambiguous way.

True Heinrich, but it gets a little more personal when they're driving the very same model car that you have, than thinking about the company being involved in weapons design and manufacture some 60 years ago.

Besides, Porsche's proposal for the famous Tiger tank was rejected (as well as their turret design for the Tiger II, although they did use the 50 that had been manufactured)....

Cheers,
Erling

If I know my Porsche war history correctly, and I certainly might not!, Porsche built a tank for Germany in WWII known as "Maus" as in a field mouse, that was ridiculously fast. Dr. Porsche was also briefly jailed after the war for supporting the *****. And of course, Hitler's vision and Porsche's design: the People's Wagen, the VW Bug, begat the 911.
