Unhappy Ebay Fraud Buddy has a new name and HE GOT ME........

Well folks, He Got me this time.
I purchased a 85-86 Chipset from "kuhleast_llc" on E-bay. This guy tells me he will end the auction early for said amount and it will be to me by Wednesday at the latest. Well, here it is Thursday and the auction is still going and I am going though the long (and probably Useless) process of complaint forms to E-Bay,Paypal and my credit card company.
So, to all that watch out for motodyne,KX_928,holbert959, RobracerX, germanubercars, kassandria16, miller216, lifestyle_26, His new one is kuhleast_llc.

Hey Dave,
I checked out some of his feedback and there was one for an Audi that he sold.
I would try contacting the person who won the Audi to see if you can get closer to this fella. Maybe get a real name and contact information?

He has 11 positives and no negatives so I would give it a little more effort before singin' the blues. His email may be down or ????????

There have been occasions for me on ebay that I had to wait a lot longer than I expected. Still ended up getting my item in the end though.

Cheers

Hey Bernie,

I like the idea of getting closer to this guy for sure....

I usually give the sellers on E-bay the benefit of doubt, but when I noticed on my paypal history of this transaction (of course this only shows up after the trans. is completed) that the account belongs to Motodyne.com, he lost all grace peroid. He has had 3 days and has shown no sign of sending me the chipset, He has not even ended the #$%^# auction.

Oh Yea, I would love to get a little closer to this one.

By the way did you get to try to log on to DIY with my account?

Dave,

If you've noticed some of my previous posta, I'm an eBay junkie. I hate getting stung by the aholes of the "community."

Thanks for the heads-up

BTW, what did you get burned on?

Check with Jim Moorehouse. Jim sold something to this guy.

FWIW, I sent him this email:
"Your'e getting trashed on Rennlist by a guy who claims he paid you to end this auction early.

If true, I would encourage you to do the right thing and make good with this guy.

The Rennlist Porsche community has many ebay buyers who will not do business with you if you screw this guy."

Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't.

Rob, No Problem on the heads up, I took heed to the heads up offered by other about this guy, he just happen to sneek another name in on me. Doesn't it just make you sick that a site as big as E-Bay doesn't have or maybe care about stopping people like this guy?

Greg, Big thanks to you, Don't know if it will help either but can't hurt at this point. I would be interested to know if he happens to respond to your email.

Hi Dave,

I have tried to logon with the info you provided me but to no avail. At least it is doing the same thing to me as it is to you so it gives me something to work with.
Is there ANY possibility that you signed up with a different password? Just guessing here so bare with me.

In the meantime, why not start a hotmail account and rejoin the group with a dedicated password for that account?
Its a pain I know but at least it will get you to posting. Why not give it a try.....???

Someone should send AutoThority a copy of the pics motordyne is using to see if they are selling copys of the chips.

Chances are Motodyn is using the auctions to sell under the table. It's not an original idea (scam) but I think it is an ebay offence.

Cheers

A few weeks back I bid on a used 5 speed transaxle and torque tube from an '83 US he was selling. The listing claimed it had 66k and was a limited slip. He listed a part number that didn't come up in my PET CD. I emailed him and asked about the history of the transmission and how he knew for sure it was a limited slip. Instead of answering my question he responded by listing the ratios of each gear. What I thought was even stranger was that with two hours to go and my bid in the lead, a new ebayer with no feedback bid up the price from $795 to $1100, going beyond my max bid. I smelled foul and bid no more but eventually someone else with substantial feedback took the transaxle for $1175 (still not a bad price).
Ultimately, I tracked the feedback of buyer and seller and it seems that all went well. Positive responses from both parties, albeit three weeks after auction close. The lack of a sufficient answer to my questions makes me weary of purchasing anything from kuhleast in the future.

sorry i just learned he was upset

Vegas, positive sign!!Maybe you can salvage the deal. I was thinking, if he had more than one chipset, maybe he is intending to send you another and keep this auction alive. Let us know what happens.

I know nothing about this auction !!!! BUT It costs about $ 3 to burn a copy of a chip , it is a better return than printing bogus $100 dollar bills with far less enforcement or potential criminal liability . The buyer if they complained / reported the illegal activity would loose the chips and their money ...ONCE AGAIN I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIs AUCTION

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I will update you on what has happened today. I received an email from this afternoon. He says that he was sick and could not do anything and that Fed Ex did not pick up the package Tuesday. But, he would send it out tomorrow. I told him that I would rather a full refund since I asked him before sending the money if it could be delivered by Friday, otherwise I could not do it. He said no problem it will be there Wednesday at the latest. He also told me if I was this mistrusting, that maybe I shouldn't buy online. Which maybe true. But, as I told him I did not do anything until I had no response to 3 emails and saw that 3 days after my money was sent the auction had not been ended.

He did also say and I quote "My troubles now are not even related to this transaction, it's the threats from rennlist members." Which I replied, As long as the funds are posted back to my paypal account tomorrow then I will be more than happy to let everyone know that you honored your auction and the reason for the dispute.

Of course he no longer has the money, Paypal withdrew it from his account and it is now pending a reversal (paypal surprise).
So, still to be seen how this turns out.
If he is legit than he should have no problem giving me a full refund for something that he promised and did not deliver.
