This guy has shown up on another auction site. The site is www.epier.com, an eBay clone. His username is germanauto. He has lisitngs for the underhood insulation, spare tire cover, chipsets and all the other Motodyne goodies.

There's no end to this guy.

Cool

A good rule of thumb is never purchase from a person that says "All returns MUST be accompanied by a return authorization number" and "returns will receive credit"

This guys sounds really shady, I'm going to see if I can find a little bit of personal information on him

Hi guys - first, please do not post someones home/private address without their permission. Honestly - the Internet is not the best place to do that. As well - I think if I posted your name/address/personal info, if I had a gripe with you - you'd have every right to be ripping at me. Jim, I'm guessing that you had his address from your past transaction, and it was furnished to you in confidence - as part of that transaction?

Thanks for your understanding!
)

He bought a shop manual CD from me off ebay that he was obviously going to copy and sell himself so I 'locked it' and put his name/address on random pages. He did find one w/o the lock and sold it briefly before Porsche shut the sales down.

He also is the guy that is trying to sell a 6spd kit. The guy (John/Robert Hack aka/lifestyle_26, whoever?) told me all about his kit and how all he needed was to get a few ordered so he could do a production run. He said doing one costs almost as much as doing ten and he really did not have the funds to do it. As we disussed the components and the set up, he suddenly made me a proposal. He said he would give me a complete kit if I let him use my T56 for an installation video/dvd. He said he would cover shipping and insure it blah..blah..blah.
When he made the propasal, I was like what?
He said he had teamed up with Motodyne too finance the program. I asked him "you mean with money Robert Hack steals?" I told him I thought he was a clown and that it is hilarious he is trying to get me to send my T56. And I told him that I will continue to develop the set up on my own, he threatened to sue me and I just laughed.

This guy is really too much. No Rennlisters out there in NJ who knows Tony Sapprano..........????

We could have this 'taken care off'

Beware, this guy has more identities than Saddam..

Hold on, chipsets are being programmed all over the place, maybe he's just burning you a dupe and keeping the auction going. And if you had him end the auction early, ebay aren't interested in you because you didn't buy on ebay. Sorry to say, ebay is IMHO a seller's paradise ... just wait for the cash to flow in ... and no risk because you can send item after receiving funds. Buyer however -- toss your cash out there and pray. Sorry for your loss.

Yeah, but at some point everyone's a seller. The honest ones amoung us keep the market going. 10% of the people do 90% of the crime just like 10% do 90% of the work.

This guy is a piece of work, tho. Wish someone would put him away.

Just as a heads up.

I belive our guy has another name to use on Ebay and it is "6spd_getrag ". Although his feedback shows good, the pictures he's using as well as the products are exactly the same as "kuhleast_llc" and other names he has used in the past. They all point to the same place "Motodyne".

Jim, I could never understand why anybody would buy chips for a 928 anyway. Time and time again folks are told"THEY DON'T OFER MUCH IN ENHANCING THE PERFORMNACE OF THE 928" (with the exception of piggyback computeres). But folks keep buying that junk anyway.

What is up with folks buying chips for 928's?

He probably means "no rev limiter" which is the only value you can get out of a chip anyway. You can get "rev limit disablers for less than 40-50bucks new- but again chipping a 928 is positively ridiculous in the first place!

Any more information on those rev limiter disablers? I know a 928 owner that was just asking me about that recently.
