Unfortunately, I won't be able to join you around that time. Even the following weekend would be unsure. Two weeks later would be easier. Then I could treat you for Swedish coffee at my house after the race...

I should know by Tuesday, if I can do Saturday, February 23. But it looks like March 1 is open.
If we do March 1st, you'll all be invited for coffee after the race!

OK, so this had run out of steam a bit, and we haven't figured out a date. Let's give this another shot!
Bill and Dennis: Can you propose a new Saturday date that works with LeMans Karting?
My invitation still stands: Swedish Coffee (in honor of Anders) at my house after the races and whatever food we decide to have.

OK kids, I'm resurrecting this thread because I've got the need for speed. I talked to Lemans Karting (http://www.lemanskarting.com) today and we can pick almost any Saturday and they still have lots of slots available for track reservations.
There are two basic packages where we can have a race. For $40, we can have about 20 minutes of track time between a 5 min qualifying session and a 15 minute sprint race. For $60, we can have about 30 minutes of track time. There's a 10 minute practice session, followed by the 5 min qual and 15 min race.
What dates can people make? How about March 15, March 22 or March 29 to start with? I'm thinking we should go for the 30 min combo session but we can vote on that too.
So who's up for the challenge? Who will be crowned King (or Queen) Karter of NorCal 928?

Thanks, Dennis. We should pick a date ASAP so I can get the word out to all locals via email. Probably teh 22nd. Schedule late afternoon (say 4pm) so we can hit the pizza shop afterwords. Also, Nicole volunteered to host coffee at her house after that.
So, let's get a few votes for the date and go. I would prefer the 22nd.
