We're going to try to make it but nothing's definite yet. We got lucky and found a great place to stay at the last minute last year thanks to George V. I guess I better go ahead and book a reservation just in case. We may not be so lucky this time. Where's everyone staying this year? I really enjoyed the track touring last year and would hate to miss it.

Hope you can make it down Rick, that would be great!
We plan to have a mini tech session that weekend with the 928OC's newly acquired 928 diagnostic tool developed by Theo. It is being made available to us for the weekend by the 928 Owners Club & we'll be the first to get to try it out on the "group loan program" of the 928OC! So there's another reason to make the event!
btw, Where the heck are all of the rest of the Fla. 928 regulars who post here on Rennlist??? Are none of you planning on attending this year's Shiver or are you just not going to post on the thread??

Mel, I was planning on going and even planned on having my friend James fly in from TX to attend like last year. I was planning on bringing both of my 928's. Some things have come up and I now have no idea if I will be able to make it at all. I hope to see everyone there but it's not looking good.
I would like to extend my best wishes to all who are going to Sebring. Safe travels to all who are coming from afar.

From: In the boatyard installing the mast and engine, we don't need a crane, we harness the mesquito's! Yeah!
I'm at the track right now posting from the rescue - do's that count?
The problem with working is I can't bring a POV
I should be able to make it on Friday and Sunday - off work - with the 928

I'm on 5 acres in Desoto county (1 county over from Highlands county) with a pet safe fence around the whole place.
Have collars will travel?

hey Tampa - FYI there's an Econo-Lodge in Avon Park off US 27, just north of Sebring. Stayed there during the last two Sebring gtgs and the rooms were okay.
It's about a 10-15 minute drive to the track. Added benefit, it's right next to 928ers George & Claudia V.'s restaurant (The Harbourside, IIRC). Last year, out on their newly built deck, they had a band playing and entertaining the group. Some 928ers sure can dance... after a couple brewskies!
Trackside there's the Sheraton Chateau Elan, but it usually books up quick.

The only "runnin" on the track if you are not actually racing or in the DE is the "VIP" track time. That is held on Sat. & Sun. for 30-45 minutes around noon. Lots of fun indeed. However, they allow ANY kind of four wheels on the track. That means you could be behind someone in their mini van!! They are also pretty explicit about you staying single file, no passin, etc.(not that some don't pass the mini vans on the back straight). Just don't plan on getting out there & roaring past 5 cars as you test out your sc'd shark less you want them booting you off the track.
