Eh hem.... Mel. I have a video of me passing 5 or 6 cars on the back straight last year. Was that not allowed?

Well, I actually thought of you when I typed that Shawn, but I wasn't gonna tell. I know that I passed a pickup truck on the back straight one day too, but he kinda pulled to one side to let others pass cause he knew he was pokin along. They seem to be ok on the back straight, but I'm thinking if you did that right in front of them in the front straight or in a turn, they'd be all over you real quick like cause its supposed to be just fun driving, not a race.

Well that said, how long would it be to get kicked off the track maybe worth it.
Second we need to be the first in line, shark corral at the entrance way or orange cones or cash or Viney holds the front spots for us I loved running Daytona just got a taste of it and want to do it again.

You can run a lot harder at Sebring if you line up with the right people/ G

Yeah it sucks if you are stuck behind the mini van, but then again, if they did end up having to boot any of our 928s off the track that probably would dim the positive light that we 928ers are viewed in by the PCA & track officials. They've already ok's our regular spot just over the bridge for our Shiver for Sharks only parking so everyone coming & going has to drive right past us. I certainly wouldn't want us to jeopardize that privledge.

Those that drove the track at Daytona in Nov. might remember seeing the track officials remove the 911 driver who continually disobeyed the instruction to stay off the banks. I happen to drive past when the Daytona security guard was asking the driver very sternly to "produce his credentials"... so official and all!

Your Papers Please

Getting in trouble' "you don't know stinking trouble" , an acquaintance I say that lightly when I was at the Ferman Chev Yearly Corvette show with over 200 Vetts, mine in attendance. He sees a huge bull, I mean the Long Horn Steak House type ,huge in a gate behind a wire fence and proceeds to aggravate it. The bull does this horns down, dirt flying charge right up to this flimsy wire fence. Owners a few feet away scatter, officials start yelling and I and a friend melted into the crowd , see above about acquaintance, as an 50 year old man proceeds to be yelled at and almost got put in the corner with a large pointy hat on.

Well, they'll certainly be lots of "bull" flying around amonst us at Sebring, just not any of the real kind with the horns!! Just make sure you have your SC shark all ready to go cause all of us want to see it up close!

Someone ( George A.) should get ahold of one of those giant set of horns ala Boss Hogg and afix them to the front of their shark. That would be sweet.

I may end up coming for the day. My conscious (Tarek) is trying to talk me into it.

Anyone know if PCA or 928OC produce large stickers and or decals? I am thinking of adorning golf carts with emblems of the cause. G

The 928OC has the small removable clear window stickers with the logo in white. Everyone who ordered a shirt at Daytona had one in their bag with the shirts. PCA has their logo sticker in a few sizes, including the 18" "Truck Sticker" as they term it, for $20 each. That would be large enough to be seen on your golf cart, and would get a big thumbs up from the PCA folks at Sebring I'm sure. Heres the link to the pdf flyer of the PCA merchandise:

Hi Mel,

I sent you a couple of emails, presuming you are just distracted, but if you didn't get them, let me know.

Hopefully my transmission installation project will continue with no further issues, and I will be able to attend. I missed it last year and I was pissed, I'm not missing it again.

Hope you can make it this year with or without your shark Ross. We'd all enjoy meeting you!

I've been avoiding this thread cause I'm embarrassed to say that I won't have my Shark ready AGAIN this year!!!

I really enjoyed meeting everyone last year and I wear my 2007 Shark Shiver shirt regularly. The goal is to have my baby running this year.

My chances of going are 40%.
