Ok so I forgot to mention the only things that I would want to work would be the motor obviously the front bar lights turn signals reverse light and brake lights other than that I don't think I'm going to need anything else because of the aftermarket gauges being wired directly into the sending units but again any help would be great thanks

I wouldn't dream of doing this project without the workshop manuals and a full set of wiring diagrams for my specific year. I think you have gone way too far for anyone here to answer your question in a single post. You need to get the manuals and start going thru everything you have stripped out and cut out. There are tons of wires and harnesses behind the dash and the center consol. For instance, you can do a search and see what's involved in the ignition switch alone to see what you could have gotten yourself into...good luck

You clearly need wiring diagrams for the specific model year car you are working with. Given that you have already removed all of these items I think the best would be to get the wiring diagram and determine what you need for the functions that you plan to save. There are a lot of interactive functions that may require more changes to keep the functions that you want while eliminating the ones you don't.

are you making a track car, or just on a search and destroy mission...?

Wow, this sounds like a nightmare when trying to decide what to keep and not.

So don't cut:
-ignition wires
-lights
-turn signal
-reverse lights
-brake lights

Look up how these wires run in your WSM. Tape all other wires off so you dont get a short.

PS. I'm not the best electrician around. Maybe Alan could offer more advice.
Oh yeah: next time ask for advice before tearing into something major..that might help you avoid some pitfalls other people already went through. Anyway, good luck!

Alan would probably say, "Why are you doing this...?"

I'm with Jim, sounds like a 928 on it's way to the graveyard......or maybe a 40's sedan delivery? Wonder if he's going to fill the hatch in as well?

Well to my suprise it started up and ran with no issues. I just have to figure out the wiring for the lights. Is there a reference online for the wiring diagrams for all the lights? And another question, does anyone recommend the optima redtop battery? And to answer a question. This will be primarily used as a track car but I still want to use it as a spare daily driver if need be. That's why I decided to keep all the lights.

Yes

"Why are you doing this?" ehh?

Anyway based on what you say - you don't really need anything in the console and in the pod you need the ignition switch and main light switch, fog switch and console stalks switches. Just about everthing else can go.

You have a monumental task to replace all these features - but very few are really important to just running the car.

You do need the wirirng diagrams - I hope you realize it was a bad idea to start this without a good idea of what is what.

Since you are trying to lighten up the car try the ...Hawker (Enersys) Odyssey battery a 12 or 13 lb battery is all you need.

Took out all the fuses and relays that were not needed. However I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to find a diagram of the wires below the fuses and relays. I want to know what I can take out from the fuse box. Does anyone have a diagram they can help me with? The clips are alphabetical.
