Default How's that for a early christmas present

I returned to my car in the parking lot and what do I find.

Two witnesses stated that the party at fault was leaving, but when they told them that they were calling the police, he and his wife decided to stay. Funny thing is that I can see where they used their hands and fingers to try to buff out the little scratches that they made.

I thanked them profusely - the witnesses, that it.

That's just disgusting, but I'm really glad the witnesses spoke up!

That sucks, at least you know who did it. Don't worry. It'll buff right out.

Fabio,

You mean you can still see the little scratches in the pics? Remember, they have already been buffed!

I guess if you turn the pics to the light at just the correct angle, you can still see a tiny mark or two.

Sorry this happened. At least they didn't get away.

I guess the guilty party, or their insurance company, will be paying for the damages. In which case, take the car to your local Porsche dealer for the repair estimate. The estimate should be a whooper ! ! !

Son of a B!tch!

I hate that crap. I was at a local soccer game a while ago and a guy backed into my car in the lot, got out, picked up all the debris from the cracked lenses and threw them in the woods. If there hadn't been a witness that saw the whole thing, I never would have caught the guy. He was the referee coordinator for the soccer league!!!

Why can't people just own up to their mistakes? This crap makes me nuts.

Mine got resolved completely and the police report ensured that the guy paid in full. I'm sure your eyewitnesses will do the same for you.

Good luck and hang in there!

Sucks but excellent time to upgrade to wide rear fenders.

I'm glad the witnesses had the backbone to speak up. Mostly these days they do NOT.

Man, they tagged your car. Scumsucking bad drivers...I hate them.
Those witnesses who got involved should get some serious recognition from you. Think about how you'd be feeling if they hadn't gotten involved and these low lifes had been able to drive off.
Best of luck in a painless and successful repair.

FWIW, your avatar doesn't do your car justice. That's a gorgeous color!

Sorry about this mishap. Can't believe the idiots didn't think it was a big deal and were going to drive away.

I would be very interested in learning how the paint match results, Amazon Green and other two stage metallics are very difficult to match from what I've seen. If the match is good it can be very valauble to others to know the process used by the body shop.

Either way good luck and hope it's a painless repair.

Nice job! At least they managed to miss the front fender, or is that in another pic?

I totally agree with all that was said. No matter what, it sucks profusely!!! That is one beautiful, rare color and will be near impossible to match.

This is the single most reason I bought a 928 beater. I park my GTS far away and once in a while I do get lazy and do not. Thats when these things happen.

All the best wishes for you and that this gets taken care of and looks as if it never got damaged.
