Aftermarket Steering Wheels?

Aftermarket Steering Wheels?
Looking at pulling my pod and console to try to figure out what's making smoke in my HVAC, thinking on adding an aftermarket steering wheel as incentive for the job. Any suggestions on favorite make and model for the shark? The Momos look nice, but without being able to see them in person its kind of hard to make a choice.
Thanks for any advice here.

I just love my MOMO Runner. It is slightly smaller than the original wheel but not as small as most aftermarket wheels. Then you can add a Porsche Crest Horn Button. I have not heard anything bad about any of the MOMOs. There is also a 930 wheel that many like.

AJ USA has a 930s wheel that comes complete with hub and crest for about $350 shipping incl. Very nice wheel. Picture can be seen at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/ziggymeredith then go to 928 GT.

I am running the MOMO Champion and love it. Very good prices at Vertex. www.vertexauto.com

The momo wheels are nice I have a formula wheel installed. I think the 930 wheel is a good idea though. The two tone wheels are popular now as well I have also seen some sparco wheels that look nice. It's hard to say what you would like, but I would stay a bit conservative - although I didn't. I have had this same momo wheel on 3-porsches now and it just feels right.

Hello,
I would agree with the comments on the 930S wheel. It's one of the best upgrades I've made to my car.
It's an inch smaller and thicker rimmed than the stock wheel. The car is easier to get in and out of with the new wheel and the steering response seems a little sharper too.
I liked the black leather look as it matches the dash and center console but some like a contrast, your choice.
Hope this helps.

Hello Bill!
Glad to see you made it over.
Nice write-up on your steering wheel upgrade. I'm guessin' that the MOMO installation instructions were for a righthand drive car.

Wow, Randy looks nice. You wont believe how much nicer a custom wheel makes the drive in the 928. The stock steering wheel always reminded me of a bus steering wheel. I know we have very little power assist but we arent school bus drivers either

I've got a Momo Champion. It looks/feels great.
There are usually a variety of steering wheels available on eBay - Momo and others.
Look here for a variety of steering wheels (prices seem pretty good)

or here (prices even better)
