Yes it is and to properly install a temperature controlled fan, you really want power to the fan at all time. This way when the engine is shot down, the fan keeps cooling it until the temps go down, otherwise the engine gets heat soaked. This in how I hooked up my fan and at first had concerns that maybe the funning fan will drain the battery but it only stayed don maybe a min at most. All modern cars have the fan run separate so it can cool the engine after shutdown.
I also picked the power up from the jumper post and installed a relay, the fan kit I used has a trigger wire so that the fans only run when the key is in the on position. I don't like the idea of fans deciding to turn themselves on in the middle of the night or when in storage.

I have the best of both worlds....if I'm just running around town, I can shut the car down normally. If I'm at the track I can leave the key in the on position when I return to the paddock. The same trigger also activates my intercooler pump and intercooler fan.... so I am at least taking a little heat out of the top of the motor.

Regards,

Ken

Default Air box Temp switch ?

Speaking to Tim I need to have a question answered as he is getting my kit together.

The Air box Air Temperature sensor will be removed one the kit is installed
I have a couple of options.

A: Leave it disconnected.
B: Tap into the air intake and tread it.
C: Place an unknown value of resistor on the feed to fool the Ecm.

First I believe; after air temperature of 125 Degrees is reached this will signal the Ecm to retard the timing by 3 degrees. That said I'm assuming with a S/C this temperature will be exceeded quickly therefor retarding my timing by another 3 Degrees all the time.
Once I add an WIC this maybe the time to connect it.

Any feedback?

Fit a 2200 ohms resistor (2.2 k ohms) in place of the sensor. Then remap with the SharkTuner.

John,

I will not have the shark tuner hooked to my car just the chips burned, will this affect the outcome?

If Tim is producing a set of SharkTuned LH and EZF chips for your kit, then the choice of what to do with the deleted or moved temp 1 is up to him.

Then all you have to do is to replicate his set up...

This doesn't make any sense to me. What makes you think it will turn on during storage or at the middle of the night when it is triggered by a thermo switch??? The only way it would do that if the sensor gets hot enough and this can't happend at the middle of the night or when in storage. If it does, you'll have other problems to worry about (car/garage on fire)!

Imo

What are you talking about?
The thing I am worried about is under boost it will heat up the intake air and retard the timing, not leaving it disconnected in the garage

You lost me. I'm not sure what you are talking about. My reply was for a comment that wasn't posted by you.

Isn't the water to air version more efficient?
