wish my body work and paint looked that good......

when you get a chance:

powdercoat your glass trim black

tint your quarter windows and hatch

the dark colors (trim, window tint, paint) will really make those new wheels show up!!!!

When you get a chance:

remove the redneck pipes

remove the stickers

stop posting pics of your car in other people's wheel threads

Just razzin' you.

[OT] Those redneck sidepipes are in a somekind of perverted way very fascinating... They make 928 look powerful. The idea sounds ridiculous, but they do look good. [/OT]

sorry about the pics----I thought we were talking about wheels here (?)

Yes, the stickers, emblems and such will be gone when body work and repaint happens.

the pipes are...well, different to say the least. the last time I checked, the opinions were running 17 for, 3 against, 3 undecided.....

I'm just glad somebody noticed.

thanks---Russ

Nice wheels!!! and just so you know, proper Porsche etiquette is to have the bottom of the crest on the centercap pointing to the valve stem....

very nice i just ordered these rims. gonna go with 225/40zr18 and 265/35zr18. Bought the new toyo proxies r1rs. Very sick looking tire! Also picked up slotted and dimpled cryogenically frozen brake rotors and performance pads from 928motorsports. Should look really good

Is it just me who thinks that these very modern ultra low-profile wheels and tyres just look plain wrong on an old classic 928?

I know the original slot wheels are dated now but personally speaking I would switch only to an OEM Porsche design from around the same time, ie. 16" Club Sports or Design 90s, maybe a 17" Cup 1. The newer wheels just don't look right on an OB to me.

Actually it's more than etiquette. The idea is that you can find the valve cap in the dark. Clever, eh?

Hopwood I used to feel the same way till I updated my wheels and the look added 10 years to my aging 81. Best thing I've added so far.
