Default FS: 1984 928 S Red/Black Auto

I would like to sell this before winter settles in to the northeast...

I bought this car with a broken timing belt knowing it is an non-interference motor. I replaced the timing belt and water pump while I was at it. It seems to run pretty well now.

I have an assortment of tune-up parts for it, including new Magnercor ignition wires that can be included in the sale. Also, in the photos you will see on one of the rear interior quarter panels the material has pulled away from the panel. I can include a good pair of interior quarter panels from another car as part of the sale as well.

The car presents very well, probably an 8 out of 10 for the exterior. The interior is very nice except for the dash pulling back from the defroster vents slightly and the rear interior quarter panels mentioned above.

Photos here

@140k miles

My almost winter price is $5000 but am happy to consider offers.

Hi Stan - it looks like a Euro - what engine does it have and will it pass smog inspection, etc?

Hi Ed,

It is not a Euro. I am not sure the reason for the side markers on the front fenders. I wouldn't expect it to have any problem passing inspection. As I recall it is the stock US 84 motor.

Looks like a US car with euro fenders and fog/driving lights, (aluminum bumper?) but missing the euro bumper light trim.

Someone watching the auction has provided a partial carfax report indicating the reason for the Euro fenders on the car: 09/20/2000 New Hampshire Police Report Northwood, NH Accident reported Involving a front impact with another motor vehicle The car has a clear title.

I still have this 928 and would really like to see it find a new home. It looks very good in and out. For someone looking to add to their 928 stable or even a first timer this would be a good candidate.

I have way too many projects and unfortunately this is low for me.

My wife, Patty, classifies cars as "was loved" and "was not loved". Patty classifies this as "was loved".

It is not a Euro, in spite of the euro turn signals on the front fenders:
