For rubber you want a lube that won't degrade rubber but also doesn't stay slippery after the install is completed. International Products Corp in NJ makes a temporary rubber lube called P-80. They'll send a free sample which will probably last you forever. Website: www.p-80rubberlubricant.com

I was looking for a compatible lube for the urethane stuff - assembly and anti-squeeking - found "Super Lube" and it comes in a silver bottle with yellow and orange stripes. Its PTFE, or TPFE, or whatever, and non-reactive with rubber and urethane.
