Default New Product: Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Mount + Tie Down Hook

I did not think these were going to make it in time for Sharktoberfest - but I shipped a pair of them to 928 International today to catch up with our other items Connie will be displaying.

Working on the same principles as the Ott rear swaybar bracket, I went to work on the other end of the same drop link. These make your rear sway bar "stronger" by moving the lower mounting point outward, thereby increasing the leverage available to the sway bar.

I designed it so it will work with both the stock drop links or our aluminum adjustable drop links.

Provides 4 different drop link attachment points per side to make suspension tuning easy. The first hole is the stock position, and each of the next 3 holes will make the sway bar more eeffective and "stronger".

In addition, I worked in a steel tie-down hook. Although first designed by racers for 928's that are trailered, you do not have to be a racer to benefit from having a good rear tie down. Many are the horror stories of wrecker drivers who have damaged parts by throwing their J-hooks around halfshafts and such. Having a solid set of rear tie downs can prevent a small problem from blossoming into a large one.

I will have them on my website by tomorrow night. The ones you will see at Sharktoberfest are painted, the ones we are manufacturing for you will be plated in yellow-chromate for rust resistance and good looks. Thye tell me I will have inventory in 2 weeks or less.

Great stuff!
It's going be some funny shaped stockings for some of us this holiday season.

Where were you when that damned flatbed 'operator' decided that the rear drop-link was a good place to secure the back of the 928. One bent drop-link later, lesson learned.

Any risk of ripping off the mounting points of the bar itself, like on the front? Does anything else need to be reinforced?

Are the two ends reverse threaded so they can be adjusted without unhooking one end?

All good questions.

No risk to damaging the rear sway bar mount. Two reasons - there isn't nearly the force going thru the rear mount, and it is mounted directly to the body unlike the front mount that is on a pedestal.

Yes, our drop links are a true turnbuckle design. You do not need to deatch them to adjust them - just turn the barrell in the center.

ew928 - you are not alone. When my 91 GT was delivered, the Trogladite had chained her down by placing the his hooks on the tie rod ends. Bent them both. The 928 came off the trailer towed out like a 60-year-old *****.

Thanks, Brian. We have these 3 new products (Shifter Ball Cup, Front Sway Bar, rear Sway Bar Mount) all at Sharktoberfest.

So pic #3 shows the stock mounting location? And there a spacer behind the plate at that point?

Looks nice. Should be an easy installation.

Thank you! Just put up on our website:
http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/...lerearsway.php

Currently listed with the drop links. I will also list it sans drop links for those of you that have already purchased drop links from us so you do not have to buy them again.

I like it for the hook factor. Last time we had to tie mine down I had a helluva time coming up with something.

Does that sticker stay on the floor all the time and you just take pics of different parts around it?
