Never seen that mod before.

But I have seen that car before. The owner put it up on e-bay several years ago (didn't meet reserve) and I loved it back then too. Well-modified '78 (IMO), hope it goes to a happy home this time.

Clever. Looks like it's made of high density foam.

Too bad that you have to chop up the console.

Interesting.....really wouldn't be all that hard to make......cut the shape out of foam or balsa wood a shade smaller than you want then cast a mold off of it in fiberglass or ideally plastic (could be pricey)....& your done!

LOL...I saw that yesterday and copied that same pic into my folder of ideas. Lose the ashtray and clock on the OB's and you have room for all kinds of fun stuff. Great idea!

I'm not sure I want to be banging shifts off my Big Gulp.

Because it's better than holding the big gulp in your left hand, steering with you knees and shifting with your right. Also better than holding the big gulp between your thighs. Also better than wedging the big gulp between the parking brake handle and the chassis.

If it is foam, then water jet or hot wire.

The "old-school" analog clock is much more aesthetic than some cheap looking "ford mini-van" cup holders.

I'd rather leave the big gulp at home than F up my center console. AND this would leave zero chance of spilling it all over the interior.

TIG welded Aluminum painted wrinkle black.

....and owner says console was not chopped up in anyway, part slips right into place.
