Well - on the sprint races - I'm simply going out to get some track time and prep for the endurance race. There's too much competition for my skill levels - stay out of trouble and finish...

Dropped the new Euro engine in this weekend - fighting an electrical problem (Front wiring harness connector was crushed by the hoist - so trying to figure out the wiring) starter's not kicking in, nor is the fuel pump... but it's 2:41 am and I'm getting ready to head back to the garage... plenty of time..

Really struggled getting the crankshaft bolt off to change the timing belt - then following Mr. Bailey's suggestion - long breaker bar braced against the floor and tap the starter (yes the starter worked earlyier) - it popped right off.. cool trick.. so with any luck the car should be running this morning - which easily leaves me 48 hours before the car has to go on the trailer...

Prediction - I don't think Ken Osage and Chuck will finish in the top 10 on the Sprints.. the endurance.. now that's another story..

Dont forget the other M3. Saw David smith at the SpeedGT race, and he will be there too. the two M3s will be a good battle! The camaro might even show up, even though he took his engine apart and there were cracks all over the block, cracked rod caps, etc. new block is being finished today. but they say they are not going to make it, but thats what they said last time their trannie blew up. (550hp is tough on the cheby stuff!)

Chuck and Ken, Scot needs your HELP!!

You guys cant just cruise the races, we need you to compete! Scot has a chance of finishing in 5th place in the points, 6th right now. there is a guy david Allen who is a great driver, but not in his usual car, running a 94 integra.
he ran 1:51, 1:47 and then a second race lap of 1:45.xx. normally, scot gets about 3 cars between him and david allen. (6-8points). if we can get a few of you between him and the integra, this race being double points, scot could make up some ground and possibly pass him for the 5th place championship trophy! its double points event, so 8-10 points suddenly becomes 20 points, plus the last ITE race on saturday, where Scot can make up the 24 points he is down right now! Scot is running a very fast 1:41.xx lap time now with his 5 liter part euro! very fast.

how is the engine coming??? you arent sleeping are you ???? com'mon, lets hear that thing running! fix that harness? was that the issue?
Best of luck with the install!

count down continues:

Anderson has to install his engine, Chuck just got his running last night, and will put a few miles on it before loading it on the trailer. Joe's is fine. Scot and I have new rubber (thanks speedgt World challenge for the almost new tires due to their last two races being rainey!)

should be a good one!

Friday practice and qual, Saturday 2 races, sunday the enduro with Chuck!

Mark A. Got youre engine in and running yet??

Mk

Ok - just got checked into the hotel - 21 hour trip - not too bad... So, it's off to bed... then do a little work on the car tomorrow.... connect the exciter wire on the altenator, check the torque on the wheel nuts, set the timing, check the throttle adjustment and I should be ready to race - after all that - I may go ahead and throw on the Euro intakes...

I'll post some photos tomorrow once we get setup at the track...

Tomorrow AM.

Did you see your ITE NW 911 guy is signed up too (Dagiet?)

Cool field signed up!

Are you working on the car? they let you go into the paddock at 5:30 pm tonight, but we have reserved space on the left side of the paddock, just as you drive in, for all of us. Anderson, vet, vipers, bmw, and scot and me as well as you and your rig.
ask to talk to Paddock Dave. mention my name and he will know where to put you.
