Default How many of your 928's miles are yours?

I'm about to hit 125K miles on my 928, and it had 73K when I bought it back in 2001.

I've put over 41% of the miles on my 928.

22k When it found me in 1997. Celebrating 10 years of stewardship in a few weeks! 81k on it now.

I am at 142K miles and I bought my 928 in November of 2000 at 76K so... 47 percent. The previous owner, who was the second owner and is a good friend had the car from 1990 to 2000 and only clocked 6K miles in that 10 year period. The original owner had the car for only 3 years and put 70k on it!

Not enough...

Two weeks from today will be the 10th anniversary of the day I took ownership of my 928. The PO had it most of the other 10 years. He put ~80k miles on it. I've added ~20k miles. The odometer isn't working for the 2nd time, so I don't know the actual mileage, but those are good guesses.

No good excuse for not driving it more, although at the moment it has an undiagnosed 'issue' that has kept it in the garage since mid August.

Bought the car with ~135k. Knew it was a fixer; underappreciated how much would need fixing. It has ~180k now, but the odometer's about the only thing with that many miles on it. 33% of the miles are mine.

Preliminary results look like this one is going to be skewed toward the low end...

Unless it's a ultra-low-mileage garage queen, why not drive them more!?!?

You forgot the "You mean odometers are supposed to function 100% of the time?!?!?!" and "I don't trust my POs enough to have any clue what the true milage is." choices in the poll.

How about those of us who would have to drive them 24/7 in order to hit 10% in less than 5 years? Starting at 203k, I'm not putting a dent in the mileage percentage-wise.

Mine's got 114K miles, of which 31% are by me, mostly to and from leisurely Sunday morning drives
during the summer.

Looks like Bill's prediction about the results skewing toward the low end is correct. I'm surprised, given the number of long-time owners.
