Been through a ****load of tires on the 928's.

Bottom line, personal opinion, hands down for street use, Fuzion ZRi. There is no better tire on the market at a comparable price, that will accomplish what these tires are capable of.

I thought they were a great dry weather tire, but I became 100% loyal to them after I drove them in some of Oregon's hardest rains. The tires stuck to the road like glue....at speed!

After all of the different tires brands over the years, I have finally found one that gives me no reason to ever have look for another. (period)

Per earlier question on my 295/30-18's fitting: Yes, they fit with no spacers on a stock bodywork 1988 S4. It's snug. quarter-inch room on both sides. 18x10 et58 required.

But it fits good.

AD07 tires are a hair narrower in cross section than some other offerings - could be involved.

$0.02

Yes, all standard sizes. I am buying a set of 4 225/50's for my Euro dog at under $100 each.

My GTS has:

rears 275/30ZR19 $189 each
fronts 225/35ZR19 $143 each

Made by Bridgestone/Firestone

Here's all you need to know:

Keith, I just bought my car a few months ago and it came with new Fuzions on it. I drove it home in the pouring rain, and was kind of surprised at the grip (not that I pushed it on public roads or anything). Wondering what kind of treadwear I can expect, and how the tires performance holds up as the tread wears down? Any hints? But whatever the wear, these tires grip well, are moderately quiet, and CHEAP. Wonder how many sales Bridgestone will lose on the Potenzas while selling these.

even tighter on an OB. I rolled my fender lips inside, and there's about 1/8" on each side. but they don't rub! pulled the spacers off, of course.

We just got our '83 928S in September. The PO had just put a set of VANDERBILTS on it. She paid $600 for these things and like all the other work she had done, they bent this poor woman over on this too!! I was wishing it had worn out tires instead so I could replace them; I guess I would feel guilty getting rid of new tires (don't waste good tires, son; there are people in China going to bed with no tires!!!) I thought they sucked in the rain, but it turns out the alignment was done wrong after the ball joints were replaced, (can we say bend over again?) Looks like they will get replaced w/o the guilt trip in the spring. I will go back and re read this thread again.

Michelin PS2 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 - 3rd set of these.
Good wet and dry, still searching for the limits.

Yoko Advan Sport (May be called something else outisde OZ) - Only 1000 miles on them to date so too early for real impressions but performed very well on a Mountain frenzy despite an alignment that went very wrong very quickly causing serious understeer (Camber adjuster slipped)

I'm looking at replacing my S02's this spring.
Currently have 255 and 265. Want to move up to a 265 or 275 in the front and 285 in the rear

The Firestone Wide Ovals are getting some good reviews as a sumer tire and come in the sizes I want.
Trying to keep it under $200 each.
Anyone have a set on a 928??

I just re-shoe'd the Euro yesterday - with Fuzion ZRi's - stock 225/50/16's @ $90 per tire! We were stuck behind a redneck hauling cattle for a few miles. They drive thru cow manure just great

I think the yoko's run wider than the S02's by about .5". tire rack has a really good spec section, driving comparisons and user reviews on a pretty wide range of tires... ck out the extreme summer tire section - yoko vs dunlop vs goodridge vs etc, is a great writeup... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...et?perfType=EP

I just put these on and they are great in the cold, very predictable. I don't know about snow.

The Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 is Goodyear's Performance Winter tire that was developed for the drivers of high performance sport coupes and sport sedans who want traction on winter's dry, wet and snow-covered roads. Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 winter tires are designed to combine good snow and ice traction with European high-speed winter driving performance.

Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 winter tires feature a performance winter compound molded into a V-TRED technology directional tread pattern to combine winter traction in snow with hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads. The Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3's rounded shoulder and independent intermediate tread blocks enhance dry and wet road handling while the center rib provides constant road contact for highway stability. All elements of the tread design use strategically placed sipes to provide the biting edges needed to help grip snow for winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs.

Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 winter tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.

Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 tires feature winter wear indicators to identify when wear causes the remaining tread depth to become unable to provide beneficial snow performance.

Install Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3, Goodyear recommends using Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 tires only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

I have Fulda Quantum elites on the rear 275 /40ZR17s on the rear and they grip really nicely. $110 a piece.
I have Nexen (cant remember exact model) on the front 245 on the front, they grip great in the dry, but they really suck in the snow and ice. Trust me on that.
