Drew,

The coils are part of the Electromotive engine management system. Lucky Ekman of Devek/Ektek thinks it should give another 30%+ increase in power over the stock CIS injection I was running in conjuction with the larger Euro S throttle body and Extrued Honed intake runners.

John,

You may want to check these guys out: http://www.sdsefi.com/ The 944 Turbo guys rave about this set-up. The unit is relatively cheap and easy to program. I'm sure it would be much better than what you've got now and might even save your engine.

Vibrus,

The difference between the 928 Euro S and US intake and throttle body is quite dramatic. I'm sure the differences were due to meet US emission standards. Heck, even the Euro BMW M's were completely different from the US models until recently.

Jim,
You are pretty much the man. You have some great projects.

With your experience maybe you could answer these questions.

Do the 928 intakes bolt right to the 944 heads with no mods to the heads?

Would a 944 intake bolt to a 928 head with no modifications?

Thanks for all your help.

Cool

Jim-

From what I can see and from what I have learned about the M28 2 valve engine, your car should be making over 400 hp...and if you add 5-8 psi boost, then you can indeed probably make 600-700 hp.

My question: In my understanding, the tranny/torque tube can handle around 600 ft/lb max. It seems that you are going to be bumping up against this limitation...which means you have very little or no excess strength to handle odd situations. Do you plan on upgrading these components?...and if so, how?

Jim,
Here is a link that may have some relation to your project. Sounds like this guy had a similar engine set up with some catastropic over-reving.
