SF Bay Area Funride & Canepa Designs Tour - Saturday 9/8
WHAT: Santa Cruz Mountains Funride - Canepa Designs tour after lunch (confirmed)
WHEN: Saturday, September 8, 10 am
WHERE: Starbucks, 22390 Homestead Road, Cupertino, CA
**PLEASE RSVP for planning purposes. If you are not sure, just show up!**
This is a new ride route provided by Jim Morton (93 GTS) going down Big Basin Road and other backroads in the Santa Cruz mountains.
We will have lunch in Scotts Valley at Maya (Mexican) restaurant 3115 Scotts Valley Dr at aboput 1pm, and then continue on a very short way to Canepa Designs for a tour at 2pm.
Bruce Canepa has a unique car collection and interesting business. For information about Canepa Designs, go here: http://www.canepa.com/
A map and directions for the ride is posted here:
http://www.norcal928.org/funrides/09...ruzFunride.htm
The ride is not terribly long - only 67 miles - so we should not be in a rush and should have time for a leisurely lunch and tour.
Lunch will be a little after noon. Location TBA.
Meet at Starbucks, 22390 Homestead Road, Cupertino at 10:00 am. We will depart at 10:30 am SHARP.
Here is a Yahoo map page that you can use to get directions to our meeting place.

Me too ! So far, a wave from across the street is our only intro.
With some luck in getting a "hall pass", I would like to run the Battle Mountain ORR in 2008. I have already discussed the idea with my past navigator and he seems interested in coming back for at least one run down Hwy 305.
The "shark" will be much more comfy than my last ORR car, a 944T but not as luxo as the BMW M5 we first ran. I always wanted to run a shark in the ORR.. Now I might have the opp !
Don't forget the V1 !

Jim,
It'd be great to see you out at an ORR event next year. Always good to see
another 928 out there, and your's will make a great addition.
Radar detector, GPS (speedo is not accurate), side mirrors, windshield wipers,
camera, and computer are on the list to pack for the trip out there. I hope
TSA don't confiscate my luggage...
