I hear the new R8 is the modern 928. "It is exactly what a major German automotive firm should have delivered in this category, twenty-five years downstream from the Porsche 928."

You got it. Actually, that specific style of seats, was created by Zagato for a limited edition DB7. Probably the most beautiful car seats ever made.
I've been working on a version of that for our own 928 seats, but I'm far from satisfied with it yet.

The DBS that is supposed to be next from the new Aston Martin should be even more spectacular.

This car (which would make for a nice 928 replacement) debuted @ Pebble Beach this past weekend:

Aston Martin DBS
V12, 520 hp, 3700 lb

I saw the quilted look first on Bentley's. I think it looks amazing in the right car. I cant picture it looking good in the 928. You would need to put the quilts on something else for balance, like maybe the door panel inserts and something else. Perhaps the door panel inserts, an insert in the seat section, and maybe that section on the center console side where your knee would rub. Now that could be cool. To go with an insert for the rears, or the entire rear quilted and some part of the rear trans hum covered too

the DB9S was awesome with the black suede and leather with that polished stainless steel or aluminum trim all over that looked like chrome. The all black interior with some tasteful chrome bits looks awesome. I love that and a two tone black upper and bone colored lower leather interior with either a really dark wood or perhaps piano black accents. If i do get champagne stuff, it will be something non standard

Take notes Paul I may spend $5000 grand with you shortly.....time to turn off the dream part of my brain!

Sure.

Reeves Callaway (gentleman in dark suit on left) was there debuting his C6 Vette-based roadster too.

Sorry guys, that Callaway just is not doing it for me.
I realize it may be a powerhouse under the hood, but the proportions seem a bit peculiar do they not?

wow that callaway looks like a kit car compared to the Aston-Martin. That thing just looks like a pile of crap, sorry. And i think those things are pushing $100,000 too. I can name 100 cars probably that i would take over that thing for that kinda money

Erik/Enzo:

Reeves Callaway shows up at the local car shows all the time, the last time he had an orange C16 with him (much prettier than the silver thing posted here, IMO) I've talked to him a few times, he's very friendly. You need to come to SF07 and hit the Irvine Cars and Coffee show (http://www.autoworksphoto.com/Automo...0Events/265910) and the VCR car shows (http://www.supercarsunday.com) in October- the odds are that he'd be at one of these, most likely the C&C show. Oh, and bring Lorelei- there aren't enough beautiful women in SoCal.......

My thoughts EXACTLY.....

after reading everyones posts....the aston DBS is up there...& I also like the Ferrari 599 too... The audi R8 is a major leap forward, but it is mid engined & awd....which I guess is a step forward like the alumium engine, transaxle layout was in the 928 back in the day.....
