That V6 Camry **** made someone sound either really young or really stupid. If I wanted a 951 I would have got one, besides those are EVERYWHERE. Around here the just the "cheap Porsche". I dont know why or how theses comparisons and v.s. matches keep coming up there not even in the same class if you ask me. No offense to 951's or any P-car that is but I like the "being different" and having something that I always wanted as a child...the 928.

Where as every single 928 (including Mark Anderson's) is still a production chassis.
A few of the 951 faithfull remind me of NASCAR fans arguing about how fast a Ford Taurs is based on last Sunday's stock car race.

I wonder if any of those 951 guys will be at Road America for the Labor Day PCA event. Somehow I have a feeling that some of those guys who are posting about how superior their 951's are will be busy that weekend and won't be there.

Yeah, I have to think the 3ltr turbo 968 engine is the best of both worlds.
Humm, that sure sounds like a 944 owner to me.
PHP Code:
and 20 year old K-Mart brand tires.

No doubt the 951 is the best "Bang for the Buck", and I have a lot of affection for them- they look cool, too. But let's face it- they are anemic 4- bangers 50% of the time- yes I've driven a few. The 928 cost more than TWICE the cost of the 944T when new. That should say it all right there. I rest my case...

best bang for the buck is the 928.
let the times speak for themselves.
139.0 at laguna seca, 1:47.9 Sears Point, and 201.7 T-Hill, for an S4 with headers , gutted, and bolt on suspension and tires.
Even scot with a $2000 928, was albe to put on a cheap suspension, $3000 5 liter '86 engine with $2000 worth of euro '84 euro intake stuff and run 1:41.4 at Laguna.
Remember when the 944s hit Speedvision GT in 2000? I think Lars Girsling ran a 1:44 in a turbo 944, and it was pretty pumped up wth a full team support behind it.
when it comes to performance value and racing reliability, a 928 is pretty hard to beat.
In fact, i would bet that my 928 is the oldest, fastest car in the world with it's original , engine.

The picture speaks for itself - The guy in the red shirt - 944/951 racer. Is that a glare on his face as he looks at the 928's - yes the ones that lapped 3 of his cars during the weekend.. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

There was a post a while back (more like war) about this same topic (AGAIN)....the small engine boostards bang their chests and think they are special...so I called them out on a "put up or shut up!" contest.....I posted Mark Andersons times at various tracks and said "if your so fast beat this!"......guess what I got in response?............................................................... ......................
