removing all the trim...mirrors..wing..rear wiper( Holes to be welded shut). rub strip delete.... going to repaint it sooner than later now. i want as much of the car "stripped" as i can when i get quotes

i wish there was a way to weld the wing mounting holes shut, then incorporate some sort of mount that goes around the side of the hatch in the gap to "remount them". very much like then system used to mount the ski rack near the top of the hatch.
depending on your mood, you could then remove or add the wing at will.

just was looking at it all last night with the gears turning (and a beer in a turkey coma)....would be a bit of design work involved with the biggest issue being the wing has studs that protrude from the bottom.

plenty of room for an bracket though

Not sure I am aligned with your thinking on the spoiler mounts- they work well and if one wanted to run with the wing off grommets could be inserted [silver painted?] to take the eye away from the things.

I have my wing off at the moment for repair and repaint of the top surface that got cracked after the driver ran over a speed bump he did not see at speed- the hatch lifted up and slammed back down- ouch!

yours is definitely my inspiration. ..and Rogs GTS i saw pics of in my searches. i never realized how good it really looks with it and the wiper gone until it was sitting parked in front of me

im going to try and fashion up some plastic plugs that pop up from underneath and sit flush with the surface of the hatch. there will be no little rubber "cabinet door stops" that bulge out

Wow, over twelve years ago I started this thread. Still have my wing whacked and lovin' the rear shot of Sterling's bare brown ***! (if you'll excuse the expression)
