Did Rylan mention how many motors he has been through just this season?

Tell your wife, the holbert car is on its 6th season, is 15 years older and is still on the original engine. Its 320rwhp came with only one modification......a set of headers. no tuning, no bolt ons, no special cams, intake, or even an air filter box, all stock stock stock. 90 race days!

I hope the best for Rylan's engine, but how long can an engine expect to last at 160hp per liter!! Now, the evo lasted almost a season, and it was doing this kind of output with a blower, so hopefully, the honda 2.2 liter is as stout.
(by the way, 160hp /liter would be like andersons engine making 1000hp.

I have a serious feeling that he will be tough to beat now, even at Laguna, but thats ok, we all know what the Holbert chassis will be sporting next year!
I also wont say anything about the ITE championship for this season, as ANYTHING can happen. (knock knock), so stay tuned!

Or "we should have just sold your car and kept my 240Z." The last thing she needs is more ammo like seeing a 928 get gobbled up by a S2000.

Brilliant! Great vid! This makes me want to turn my '79 into a track car (stay tuned). I love how you passed, what, 23 cars without thinking about it --and was that not another 928 giving you hell for the last 1/4th of the race!?

ITE is ANYTHING goes on DOT race rubber, as long as the chassis was sold from a dealer originally!

true sports car racing!

supercharged s2000s, 928s, camaros with built motors, speedgt vets, BMW M3s, mustangs, etc, all get to run together. I like to call it, ageless, poor-mans, speedGT/Touring! The absolute best of grass roots racing!

We in the SCCA Southeast region don't seem to have ITE, it looks like cars like from your group would wind up in SPO or SPU. Heck, I really don't know for sure and our classes are confusing for anything in between a spec car and tube frame racer. Reading the GCR is no help and hearing about drivers who show up at tech inspection only to have an entry made in their logbook stating that they must meet GT rules (instead of IT) before any more club races is scary. You guys are very lucky to have ITE, it sounds like a great bunch of racers too.

Oh, I know about all that type of stuff. And I explain that stuff to the wife. But what can I really say, she's you and asian. She's just stickin' up for her peeps. And her seeing that video doesn't help my argument.

Good luck with the season!

Very cool video Mark.

Its interesting seeing this after seeing so much of your incar video where you're busy sawing away at the wheel. From the outside your handling is silky smooth.

What a great class. You're right, it is true sports car racing. A lot more interesting than watching a sea of homogenious machinery.

That was scots car (gold 928). hmmmm, a 2000 dollar car with a $3000engine. (plus the cheapo racing mods) probably the cheapest fastest race car Ive ever seen!

both rylan and I were coming from the back. i ended up behind scot for a bunch of laps and got some great video. I wasnt pushing more than 99% as i needed only a few points from this race and didnt want to beat on the car to hard. Rylan was on a mission, and because he actually caught up to the camaro, and passed him, i dont think i could have done that even at 100%
However, my car felt a little down on power, so I didnt think it was worth pushing it. The dyno will tell if anything is up, but i did a tune up just in case it matters after a year of racing.
