"Worrying the connector" just means fiddling with it to get a good connection- IIRC there is a ribbon cable that feeds the instrument/light cluster, and it took me several tries to get it properly connected. Until then I had what you are describing on the digital display.

Ah..I see. Thank you for clearing that up. However, there are four (4) wide pin connectors on my 93. I remember my 82 had the one wide pin connector. These four have locking levers to eliminate the slippage. Several other items would not work if that were the case.

That's what I meant to say.... same visual impact as yours.

Good luck with the LEDs. Wonder how you'll like them, considering the dimmer won't work.

Well, so far everything is LED at this point, entire center console, all Pod switches, cluster back lighting and entire interior courtesy...even glove box. The dimmer is a waste as the lighting is at a perfect level. I see no use in the dimmer. The beauty of LED's is that they create more vivid light, not brighter ambient light. The cluster gauges are so defined and readable now, that I no longer have to squint during daylight to actually read the gauges...clear as a bell now. There is an over all dimmer AFAIK in the center of the cluster (photo cell) which does dim the circuit by resister in the darker hours. You can see this when the headlight switch is activated as well.

As I had said, I just ordered the 8 back lights in LED for the LCD and LED's for the Hi Beam, Turn Signal and Parking Lights. This will complete the LED change over to my satisfaction. I will NEVER go back to incandescent. I just hope it cures my dim outer light situation.
