I would say that it is 100% probable [click-through]

And the ZR-1 does not appear to have the Z06's dry-sump motor. Dumb IMO.

After a little bit of digging dealers will sell at $500 under dealer invoice on 08's and $4k under invoice on 07's ($2k under invoice + $2000 GM rebate). You can even order one with the options you want for $500 under invoice.

I don't know how hard he was pushing it in the video but if the counter is right it looks to take about 5 seconds to get to 60 mph and anyone can idle at 60 and get 30 mpg.

The C6 vette (and Z06 variant) are indeed impressive on performance.

I'm a member of the camp which feels although the drivetrain seems stout, lots of small things, especially in the interior, are vastly behind even the standard of a 20 year old 928.

But having driven Z06's for a couple days last month, I momentarily pondered the idea of owning one. Then I peered out the rear view mirror and noticed the almost complete lack of rear visibility, and I looked down at the center console and viewed the carpet peeling off (with 800 miles on the odometer)...

Between those above practical concerns, the gold-chain image, the complete lack of useable storage, and license+insurance rates which would be an order of magnitude higher than my 928, the thought of owning a vette no longer haunted me.

Just my opinion. Nothing wrong with the vettes. Just not what I want.

Bull****. Name ONE item to substantiate your 'claim'.

Bull****. Unless of course you're four feet tall...

More bull****...

That's okay, you don't deserve to own a Vette. Which by the way is a better car in almost every way to any year 928.

Are you trying for a record to see how fast you can get banned or hated around here?

I own a 928 and a Corvette of the same year model, so I do have a good idea of how they compare.

One thing I can tell you is that at some point in your ownership if your 928 you are going to need some help with it, this is the best place to find it.

If folks do not like you they may be a bit reluctant to offer there help when you may need it.

You just keep trying to dig the hole deeper.
