That's gotta be one of the biggest myths about Po r t l.......uh, NO, I mean , uh, NO WAY, I had to drive to California to take that picture.....yea, it's still raining here! Geez..is it ever going to stop!?!?!
Of course, you'll probably surprise everyone once again...
..and yes...it looks much better in person IMHO
BTW, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve over the coming months so don't get too comfy with "he's done all he can do."

Maybe Louie?

Keith either test each sensor (removed) for continuity or short across the contacts of each one in sequence and see if that shows you which it is.
A hammer will not help diagnose this issue

Keith-
I hate to say this, but I will anyway. You take your wheels off often enough that you probably don't need pad sensors. My car does not have them anymore and I take my wheels off probably a few times a year - maybe more. I just take a peak at the pads and make a note whether I need to get new pads or not. Just a thought.

Brian's right...besides, I am still not ready to hack a GTS for convenience sake. Tracking stuff like this down gives me something to do. It's only fun when I don't have other pending projects though. I am 99% sure that it is not at the sensors. Though I am going to run a signal around the car and see if I pick up the signal at each sensor recepticle. This will make me 100% sure it is not at the sensors.
