Pete was able to get the car to his mom's place in Cle Elum. He says that while he was working on it there, he broke one of the spigots off the tranny cooler (S4 A/T) and was wondering if 1) anyone has a replacement or 2) if anyone know if he buys an aftermarket cooler if he can just use rubber hose and hose clamps to patch it in temporarily. Apparently the car will start and run, but dies when it gets warm.

Sorry Guys I missed this thread yesterday. If he patches the cooler would the car still be dying when it gets warm? He would be CRAZY to try and drive like that. What is his plan? Any idea what the problem is?

Hopefully not a symptom of TBF?

The previous owner of the car had another that suffered from TBF. What are the chances of lightning striking twice? Hopefully high enough to keep this car in the clear.

He did say that it was smoking hot out when it happened, and he was hard on the throttle.

Mark over the years has created a machine which takes in orders and spits out parts. Some one calls and in a couple of minutes I create an order on the computer and generate a pick ticket. Someone in shipping pulls the part , boxes it , confirms the shipping cost and it comes back to me to charge the credit card (which we do when the part is ready to SHIP ) . Once approved it gets all tracking information and is piled up waiting on UPS/FEDEX pickup that afternoon. All the paperwork is done on the computer which when you have over 45,000 customer contacts in the data base is a MUST. Because we inventory so many parts we ship most orders same day.
