Default Is this the 28th 928 produced?

The ad is in Swedish, but the chassis number is: 9288100028. The car apparently started out in silver but has been repainted and "upgraded" to look like a "S".

It is if plate is not moved in from another car. Unlikely but would need to check from body stamping under plus post in engige bay side wall. If its 0028, possibly it was done before first US model was made. Shouldn't have side protection and possibly also passenger side door mirror is later addition. Also seats might not be original as color theme would be little strange with green dash and black leather seats. Looks resque is possible and not too difficult but it really needs total rebuild. Somebody get it fast please so I don't have to.

oh lord, that shark looks like a depressed christmas tree!! red/green/black!? Unless the original owner was color blind, there's no way it left the factory in that color combination.

Heck, I think perhaps just the build plate showing #0028 is worth more than the rest of the shark!

Oh I wasn't saying the shark isn't worthy or worth something, just that the build plate alone is worth alot because of the low production # of the car.

I bought a civic si HB in 87 directly from the PR dept at honda with vin# 7 Why would #28 be worth anything more than any other?? I dont see it as that low. I'd like #928

Yea, #928 would indeed be cool to have for sure! I guess on a 29 year old supercar, the 28th vehicle hand made would still be pretty darn neat to have too though.

First few cars are always more collectable than run of the mill nothing special #456 or whatever.

If two (or more) people want it because it's #28, it's obviously worth more than if no one does.

Also, it may not be the 28th 928 made. It's the 28th made and VIN'd for the RoW market. It might be possible that some US spec cars were produced before this one.

Yeah, number 928 would be cool.

Technically they made a few 1977's right....so wouldn't the earliest be 1977 VIN's....I dunno

theoretically there are no 77 vin#s as 1st sequence is 9288 for 78
earliest still known to exist are both #16s

Wasn't here ROW 0010 for sale in Germany some time ago? In any case these really early cars are hard to find. So Rixter, are you going to pursue this one? Its early VIN, its ROW and its green inside.
