Rick @ Beech Mountain has 2 different hotels, the main one has 15 rooms left as of today, and will open the other one if needed. Shark rate is $69.00. 828-387-2252

By a lodging standpoint, it looks like we might pass the number of 928's from last year, about 70.
BTW I had a word with the big guy and he says weather will be wonderful. (Hope he didn't mean for polar bears and fish).

Yes! It seems this year it snuck up on us and caught many of us forgetting to make reservations.

 

ok, done I called rick and got lodging for friday and saturday night.

 

I hope that everyone attending does realize that Jeannie has to order the food well in advance. If you don't register, she doesn't know how much food to order...

Hopefully I will have a 928 by then and they will have a room left. Sounds like lots of fun including the drive down and back!

 

David Roberts posted today on the e-mail list that the Holiday Inn in Banner Elk (main meeting spot for SITM) just opened up 30 more rooms for that weekend. Get you reservations before the Christmas rush. LOL. Reservation phone # is: 828-898-4571. See you all in May!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the "heads up" I called this morning 4/19 and was able to make a reservation at the Holiday Inn, as they did open up more rooms.

Eric, glad to see you are going, maybe we can hook up here in MD and caravan down. My wife will be going also, we are combining this trip with a weeks vacation.

George - Is Sandy a good sport? The only time that caravan will be doing less than the speed limit will be when they park for lunch.

(Damn I hope i get a last minute reprieve and can make it. I do have a reservation in JIC)

 

I think I'll be in that caravan too, and would like to stop by Autothority in Va (the day before) to get my car on the dyno as I missed my chance (and discount opportunity) during the last Frenzy due to a last minute discovery of poorly/wrongly installed timing belt. Anyone interested in coming along?
