This thread really intrigued me, since I also think the 968 "baby shark" is a very pretty car. But I've never driven one, so when one showed up for sale here locally, I went to look at it. It's a '95, and I posted a link to it here in the 968 forum:

It is really a nice car; I wouldn't mind having one of these too, specially since it's so much
newer than my '79 928. I really liked the car. We took it on some of the twisty roads in the hills behind town and you could really feel how much lighter it is than the 928. I wouldn't say it handled better than my 928, just different. The owner was really enthusiastic about how much torque it produced, and I was polite The power characteristics are definitely different; you really feel the power band around 3500 rpm and higher, whereas mine seems to be much lower. The owner didn't have time to take mine for a ride, but he wants to and we'll get to it at some point. Nice car. Not trading the growler though
