Don't forget that the '93's all have the very weak connecting rods in them. With that mileage, it would be wise to take the engine apart and replace the connecting rods.....which happens with a rebuild, usually.

I hadnt heard of this issue before Greg.

Is this a problem with 89-91 S4's as well or something specific to the 93 GTS's only. (and 92 ROW 928's as well?)

Greg, you say that AFTER I just committed with deposit? Perry, yes I really did. I want this car and I called and the shop was just closing. Tim, the guy I'm dealing with said he had just listed that 15 minutes before I called. He also said I was the 1st to call. I said good, and did he have time to take my deposit. He did of course. So we will see how this goes. Kevin

Hey guys, I'm gonna be going down there if I can get a flight for teusday. If it is what they say I will be taking it home with me, if it's not they just made alot of free money with my deposit! Anyway my 87 S4 SC'D beast will be for sale with a spare 80,000 mile COMPLETE READY TO RUN engine and all the org. parts before the SC. The whole package for 13k FIRM!!!! Just the car without SC and converted back to stock will be 9000.00 (screaming deal really) The Murf kit will be 3500.00 and the spare engine 3000.00.
