Hi

Yes it does but it totally transforms an auto 928...you have to be a little careful though...if you leave it on....go round a corner and press pedal it kicks down, revs rise and back end can twitch a little lol

Best mod I ever did bar none to my 928 and cheapest too lol

Whats a "minivan" by the way ??? I assume you dont mean an "Austin Minivan??...they would be lucky to do a 20 second 1/8 lol......
All the best Brett

The kickdown switch drops the car down to the max allowed gear short of redline. I don't have this installed yet on my car, but is on my list of things to do. I rode in Jack Riffle's 928 with this installed and wow, you could really make the auto more responsive.

Andrew,

I can't remember if that time you posted for Tim Murphy's wife's car was with the stage one or stage two supercharger kit on the car. When you saw the car at the dyno, it was in the stage two configuration. All I'm going to say is that the car now is definitely not like it was when it ran that time you posted, and definitely not like it was when you saw it at the dyno. As a matter of fact, it was just at that dyno again today and..........you'll probably hear more about it sometime in the future.

Nope, no slicks on Tim's car for that run, or any others he's ever done as far as that goes.

It's a 1993 Ford Aerostar and it's got the most powerful engine in recorded history.

It makes over 6400HP at the wheel. Steering wheel, that is.

8.37 @ 86 (Imre T.) dont think N/A but doesnt say...

8.6 @ 89 (Turbo)

8.8 @ 88 (Supercharged)

So...hopefully I will run an 8 ish

But even though I have more hp than all of those three.....as an 1/8 is about launch/traction and I dont have an LSD....we will see

All the best Brett
That's mine and you are correct, it's not N/A. If you click on the times it leads you to the rest of the information about each car.
Here's mine: http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche-928-Timeslip-6742.html

As you can see it is just a simple SC setup, nothing too complicated, but still good enough for a solid 12 sec. run.

Hi

Thats a VERY good time...no Uk car has ever beaten it...the closest so far being Adrian Clarkes Supercharged 8.8 at 88 mph...

I have run a 12.2 (1/4 mile) on a G-Tech but that was with 75hp of Nitrous and I want a proper timeslip

All the best Brett

8.349 @ 91.31..
that particular run corresponds to my 4.4 0-60 for reference.

Mr Murphy has one seriously fast car!

Stock 928s4 for 1987 was around 14.7 in 1/4mile
Usually you can multiply by .65 to get a good estimate for an 1/8th mile run
14.7 * .65 =9.555
I did take a stock 1987 s4 to the 1/8th mile it ran 9.59seconds in the 1/8th mile
Most cars don't leave hard if automatic cars.
A 8.0 second 1/8th mile should be close to 12.3 in 1/4mile
If your car isn't running low 12 seconds in a 1/4 mile it will be very hard to run a low 8 in the 1/8th
A good 13.0 second in the 1/4 mile would be close to a 8.45 in the 1/8th miile

Hi Nick

I did run an 8.1 on G-tech run but with no LSD it was all over the place lol....

Are you coming to CC tomorrow ?

I will be there but not to run (noise) but my brother is bringing his 928S2 so may take that around the track...

All the best Brett

1st pass 1/8 ET 10.25 1/4 15.5
2nd pass 1/8 ET 10.3 1/4 15.6
3rd pass 1/8 ET 10.2 1/4 15.5

WOW need I say more
