No, his budget doesn't allow for that.

Great report and result, and glad to hear/see that the Holbert car wasn't damaged too badly!

exactly!
actually, so i could take my son, i took the tahoe and my brothers cheapo , 18' car trailer. my 10 year drive to the track, racing streak is now done. It cost double the gas, vs the 928 (ie 11mpg vs 22mpg) but it was well worth it.
The SCCA throws a great event, with a dinner on saturday night. the kids can ride their bikes on the race track. there is sometimes free day care during the day and there is even an on site kiddie park.

It was worth it , but so much more work to trailer the car. (and 20% longer travel time!!)

Great report - and great finish and lap times!!!!!! Would really love to see you up here giving some driving lessons and showing the local racers what a 928 is REALLY capable of!

Great write up Mark! Sounds like a solid weekend. Pretty impressive, seriously pestering the Camero while running with a broken swaybar. Lookin' forward to the video.

Mark,
Is the schedule posted for the series that you participate in?? I would like to take my grandson to see what a 928 can do on the race track. I don't think that Mark Anderson is currently competing. BTW....congratulations on a fun weekend I appreciate any information you can offer.

Thanks!

The next race will be at the end of June. (usually, one or two races every monty for the season)

we go back to local races at the end of August with Infinion, and then laguna for 2 or 3 weekends after that.

So how does Jack's lap times compare to yours?

So where are you at for the year now?

He fights hard in the protest hearing, the officials see the tape and say that it happened exactly as my report has said, and it is backed up with the corner workers report. It really is sad when you have a real racing contact, and someone thinks they are entitled to attach blame. The previous lagua event, Rylan got way over his head into turn 2 and smashed into my buddies black M3 from behind, getting penalized a final position spot for his "at fault contact) and causing a stir among the racers, when Bruce thought he should help pay for some of the damages. (of course rylan said, "thats racing, i aint paying") funny, now our "just racing" incident this weekend, suddenly has to have a fault owner to it, and it certainly cant be his!
Except w/ the BMW I did take fault for the contact. I just said I wouldn't pay. I didn't ask you to pay did I?

Here is the video of the contact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beX164b2GbY

I've let it go as a racing incident.
