By MK: . .(note; gearing matters. it determines the amount of hp you can apply to the wheels over any given speed range. Acceleration= Power/(mass x velocity)
Thanks Mark, now I don't have to go back and read old threads.

I'll post the full race video, right now is a 2.4G mpeg2 file. I'll post the file as soon as I can edit it down. Some good stuff in there.

That would be cool. all of us would have some good stuff to post in that race. my video is pretty good, from what i saw of it. now the officials have the tape until next week. when i get it back, ill post a race story like BMW Mike does.
my offs seemed a little more dramtic in real life than in the video, but its entertaining stuff.

Isn't that always the case. I havent video'd in a while because all those hair raising moments in the car seem so tame on film.

It was worse in the Datsun though....it looked like a Sunday drive.....

Great read MK......but i remember someone spouting about how "gearing" isnt all that important lol....and it sure it wasnt TQ,,,hehehe
anyways always a good read MK....
PS...i realy think tire rubbing is way safer then tring to hard not to touch....can you just see NASCARs doin 190MPH and reacting not to touch!!! its the rear bumping that i think shold be frowned more on.

Hey guys still waiting for google video to process my video so I can post a smaller version. But if you want, here is a 400mb download of the video in MPEG 4 format.

http://www.gofastvideo.com/gallery/i...-scca-ite.html

I'll post the google video link whenever they finish with it.

Really cool we will have the video from the two cars! Thanks a lot. Way to go!

And honestly, this "contact" in no contact to me. It's just a little gentle touch in the shoulder. I think MK was pretty fair (for european standards, at least).

Here, in "real" racing, you can't expect two things given your position at the corner entry: Either you brake sooner and give way or you are simply pushed off -at best. I was really surprised to see that you didn't fall to the inside as soon as you see MK in the mirror but stick to the outside for the braking and then fight the corner in the outside! It's really beatiful gentlemen racing and as I say everyday I envy you a lot. I think you would have far less fun in a highly budgeted team.

Sorry, I know any kind of contact is hair raising at those speeds, but I had to laugh when I checked the video to see what the protest was about. Just keep having fun in the most clean series of the world!

EDIT: just re-read the message. I think I'd better call "real" racing what you do and not the perversion top series have become.

TY, I'm running 800 less revs with my 2.2L than I was running last year w/ my 2.0L. (8500 vs 9300).

The motor likes to rev tho.

Nice race video, cool to see Mark's competition come on and give us their point of view of the race.

Seemed like a racing incident to me, no one at fault really

I enjoyed that video Ryland. Thanks.

I couldn't tell for sure who owned 14. In either case it was close. The camera angle/lens could be misleading but it looks/sounds like Kibort had a slight lead into the brake zone. Maybe we'll see better when Kibort posts his video. In either case you did great hanging with the V8's. Very impressive.

Are you racing Honda cup this year?

^ Sometime this year I'm hoping.

You need that supercharger or you'll never win a race against those other cars you know, right? At least not at T-hill.

What does it cost to supercharge?
