I have a "gas tank" event coming up... That may become my most hated...
Not too bad, just don't burn the house down. And have a good 12" socket extension you can get both hands on while you're getting the rear tank strap bolts back into place. the straps are really snug over the tank and it requires some upward force to get those rear bolts started.

I think the mechanical problems are strait forward on the 928, once you get past the initial fear of working on the car. There isn't another forum anywhere in the world with the knowledge that Rennlist provides it's members with when it comes to the 928.
For me the electrical issues are the most frustrating challenges. It's never been my strong suit, but I'm learning.

For me, the worst job is parking the car in the garage. Everything else is spending time with the car, not abandoning it!

Thanks for the words of encouragement Rob!

Any job I've already done.

My car has such a laundry list of things it needs that it's just disheartening to do anything a second time.

Having said that, I've learned a lot that way. Jobs I've now done twice (in a short period of time) include:

Clutch removal and replace/adjust (did this several times over a few days just to make sure I got it right )
TB/WP (had to remove the belt to check/replace the tensioner gasket within a week of install
Transmission shift centering spring (!) (That one sucked both times, but a little less the second time) less than 2 years apart
TPS replacement/adjustment (had to remove passenger side intake and re-install within weeks of intake refurb)

and probably some other stuff too. Very frustrating.

The front ball cup, upper control arm bushings, some of the oil pan screws, the power steering line was hard to get to.

These cars make a lot of sense in how they were put together, there just is a lot of stuff packed in to tight areas that makes things difficult. Don't blame the car, I don't.

+1 on the front ball cup. Tried the prybar method from above w/no avail. Went from below w/out a lift, with success, but plenty of
Bilstein/Eibachs on the front was not fun.

Clutch hose from the master cylinder. I didn't take as long as I expected, but it was a pain.
