Default Do you "pamper" your 928 this much?

I just got a catalog w/Zymol products in it and notice that "Destiny Estate Glaze" car wax costs a whopping $560 for an 8 oz. jar (shipping and insurance not included). Do you pamper your 928 this much? They also list "Concours Glaze" for $190 for an equally small jar and colored black or red waxes for $74 each 8 oz., "Titanium Wax" for $75 and various other waxes for $54 each 8 oz. And here I was feeling silly for paying $35 (including shipping) for 8 oz of some new polymer stuff last week (probably just sucker voo doo liquid).

I will say this though, the $560 stuff smells good. Probably smells like money...unless it does a bad job, in which case it would smell like crap. You'd think they'd also throw in a high speed electric buffer and prepaid plane tickets to Vegas for this much money. Or maybe it can transform the 928 in the foto below to concours in just a couple of applications?

I pamper my 928...but I have my limits. Who uses this stuff?

Mine is pampered indeed, but there is no way I'd ever spend that much for wax.

Hey Ed,
Did I see your car at DFW .... Terminal A approx. Gate 33?

If not, somebody stole your car and parked it at the airport.

I wouldn't spend that much on my WIFE if I had one...

Yep.... Early Monday morning. I parked my airport beater (Explorer) a few slots away.

If a space would have been open next to the 928, I would have parked the Exploder there as a sacrificial barrier

Scott - shouldn't that quote in your sig be "directly proportional"? I'd be pretty happy if I had a CS and an S4.

What? You guys don't spend $560 on wax for your magnificent beasts? And you call yourselves aficionados?!?

Just kidding, I like Zymol, but I'll stick with the $15 bottle at Wal-Mart. It seems to do a good job. I recently switched to it from McGuires. Zymol seems to be lasting longer, but it is hard to tell.

$560 is nothing.

There was a guy in Europe that gave his Vauxhaull Astra a $5,000 wax job.

I hear it was done with the fat from a tyrannasaurus rex, and the cloth was made from the feathers of a dodo bird.

On an ASTRA? What a waste lol..

But if he's going to spend that much on a wax you might as well go the whole 9 yards and use feathers off a 50-million-year-extinct archaeopteryx.

Just in case anyone wanted to read about it :P.

EDIT - It was actually a $7,000 wax job.

Harvey
Moe in the concours forum uses Zymol on most of his customers cars and likes it......

Personally I am not a big fan of carnuba waxes......Trade Secret came highly recommended so I bought a jar ($41) tried it......loved the smell...fairly easy to use......but isn't any better than rejex....or optimum waxes..... I use Optimum Spray Wax on my Acura...it works great and is so easy to use...... Now I have a coat of Optimums new wax called "Opti-seal" on my 928.....so far so good...but I do really like rejex! Its on my wheels right now!

Do you have any issues with the wax collecting stuff in the heat Brian?

I almost don't wax my cars anymore because it every time I do the wax melts enough in the sun that all the dust and crap just embeds in it.
