Nicole, it must have been you then. If you remember seeing a bald guy driving a green Outback wagon pointing at you it was me.

Uh, I can't exactly remember each of the 200+ cars I encountered on that drive... Don't take it personal, OK?

Nicole: We'll make sure you have the right route to the picnic area next time. Google/Mapquest/whatever actually make it harder than it should be.

Nicole, over the years I have found every trip to SITP to be extremely frustrating. Going through Bzerkeley with it's huge potholes and lack of street signs was bad enough, but it's easy to get confused once you get to the hills too.

This time though, Google sent me along a much better route -- basically, I took the first exit after the Caldecott Tunnel, swooped back over the mouth of the tunnel, and it was all gravy(and nice twisties) from there.

Next time, just for kicks, I might try 580 - 13 - 24.

Here's the link.

Yep, that's the way I always go. Even my wife can find her way using that route.

Totally!

And it was awesome that you came as well. Too bad I did not have more time to chat with you. Hope you come out here again in the near future!

I noticed my photos weren't linked to the new server, so I updated the link. This is
a problem with many of my post to the Rennlist (and other forums). The new server
is http://928.jorj7.com though Bill was kind enough to let me "borrow" space on the
NorCal928 site until I got my new server set up. Since this was a NorCal928 event I
left those photos on that site.

Bill, have you set a target date for the 2008 SITP event?
