Tim, please report what you go with. I have a Porsche baby seat now but will need a booster type seat soon. Babies really do get bigger! Searching for seats is always frustrating because they seem to discontinue models regurarly so that by the time you hear of one that works it's discontinued. A good plan might be a seat that's rated for airline travel, they should be narrow enough for a 928. Britax listed seats specifically for airline travel on their webpage last time I looked but who knows what they have now.

I finally found a Britax Starraiser. It'll take a bit to ship in, but once it's here I'll report how it fits the 928. I purchased a Evenflo for my 911. It had the narrowest base available and I still had to hack the base apart to get it to fit, and even with that it still wouldn't fit into the 928. I'm hopeing the Starraiser will fit both cars. I'll take pics
Stay tuned.

I searched the forum and found this thread. It looks like the Britax Roundabout is the way to go (up to 40-lbs, forward facing):

It is still available in the market:

Hey guys
Thanks for the posts. The links to the baby seats are great, but this post is about Booster seats for children 3yrs old and up.
I've been called out of town for work so this has been put on hold for a bit. I'll report with some photos when I'm back.
IceMan...kids are like Porsches, you won't understand until you've had one.

Greetings everyone:
So here is the update on the saga of boosters seats for the back seat of the 928 and other Porsche models. I finally tracked a Britax Starriser at www.bestbuybaby.com. It took a bit to get hold of it as they would not ship to Canada. I asked Andrew Olson if I could have it shipped to him and then he ship it to me. Thanks again Andrew!
It fits perfect. The only problem is that the Starriser has been discontinued. So if you're looking for a booster seat, get in touch with Bestbuybaby while they still have some. Failing that I just read the post by "luvmy356"

He has found another alternative but it has also been discontinued.
Cheers,
Tim

Thanks for the updates and pics.
Here is an update from me:
I have an '84 928. This means the rear seats are only equipped with lap belt. Unfortunately, the Britax Starriser model will not work because it does not come with a built-in internal harness system. I went to Toys R' Us (they are a retailer for Britax. The Britax Marathon is a good fit for the curved rear seat because the former is designed with a narrow base. It also comes with a built-in harness system. The 928's lap belt is used to secure the seat. The built-on harness secures the child to the seat.
The only catch is the Marathon model is very bulky (lots of padding). This means that the front seats must be moved up quite a bit to allow sufficient legroom for the child. There is probably 5 inches of space for the child's feet if the front seat is in its rearmost position. This set-up will be great for transporting a child if you do not have a passenger (i.e., move the passsenger seat as far forward as possible).
