Default Redoing the hoses

I noticed that my injector hoses on my recently purchased 82 are cracked and dried out. Looks like I need to take care of them ASAP. I figure this is a good time to do some other things on the top part of the engine. Let me know if I missed anything. I hope to be done in time for Sharks in the Park
  • Have injectors cleaned w/new seals
  • Fuel injector hose kit
  • Replace U-Injector hoses with new hose and FI clamps
  • Redo the vacuum hoses
  • Clean the valley
  • Replace failed oil filler gasket
  • Replace cracked oil filler lines
  • Replace thermostat, heater hoses & flush engine (mise well since I'm taking the bridge off)
  • Replace various PIA hoses under the plenum

Hoping I can get all this done for under $500.00. My wife is threatening to take away brokerage account priveledges

Also, check and maybe replace:
- The rubber coupling between the TB & plenum
- The rubber couplings between the runners & plenum
- Gasket that seals top & bottom of u-shaped plenum together
- Small coolant hose @ pass. front of engine

Definitely replace:
- Runner to head gaskets if you remove the runners

When I had mine apart, I did all the vacuum hoses too.

While you're going that far take the spider off and polish it.

I just finished what you are planning.

The results are well worth the work as well as the piece of mind you get.

Don't forget about the rubber mounts that mount the throttle body.

I used Witchhunter performance to do my injectors.

Here are my results.

Good luck.
