Default Spring has Sprung

It's been four months and I figured it was time to see if the GT had survived the winter. The first task was to re-inflate the right front tire that had gone flat during hibernation. Of course it wouldn't inflate so I took it off to see if I could find the problem and discovered that it was probably a VERY slow leak, stiff sidewalls, and a broken bead with the car sitting on it flat. Pumped it up, put it back on, juiced the battery and----------------------------

What a beautiful sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to stretch our legs.

I'll have to wait another month or so to drive mine. Not before all roads are clean. But I'll put the battery in and start it before that. That's for sure. I opened the garage door tonight and took a look at it. It's gone be soon I think...

Ernie,
Sorry for my lack of knowledge - why have you not been using the car every day.
In Texas we drive the year round - did you move somewhere where the climate is not so good?
Please enlighten me to this new phenomenon.
Yours respectfully,
Roger

Spring is a state of mind!

I've been driving all winter, but when the temps start going back up again, it's so much more fun.

Everybody's got their windows open and radios blaring. Winter's over!

Dear Roger,
Thank you SO much for your respectful inquiry as to my seasonal driving habits.
Much of the civilized world actually experiences FOUR seasons called Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. Some of the world, like the part in which you currently live have TWO seasons called Incredibly F*****G HOT and Just Miserable.
Many of us like living in the latter, especially after spending almost 30 years in the former.
We also enjoy the awakening of new life in the Spring INCLUDING the celebration of BWAAAAAAH, also known as Easter or Passover.
I hope this helps, and DO let me know if I can enlighten you further.

I am dreading the incredibly phuking hot season myself. We've already touched the 80's many times this month. The ol' coolant system has to be tip top all the time around here.

This weekend the C4 gets new brake pads and a wax job, the shark comes out of hibernation and the TR6 gets to move out of the barn and back in with the german girls. OH, yeah, Harley gets a wake up call too.........

I put the hotrod sleds away last weekend........ Man I love "driving" season...........

BTW, NE sharks, in OT there is a call for a late April P car run through the green mountains...... Check it out. I think Gretch will make it. She could use some wind sprints after the long hibernation......

Ah yes, to live in the land of four seasons. Last week, the temperatures here in Chicago boosted into the 70's. In a rush of spring fever, I decided to do the changeover for the HVAC modification (which keeps the heater valve closed for warmer months).

It has been in the 40's and 50's ever since...
