ANY ONE STAY AT THE: Smoke tree lodge if so how was it and how far from the Holiday inn?

It is about 5 minutes away, not a great place- it makes you plan ahead the next year!!

BTW, it's not a Holiday Inn. It's a Best Western where everyone stays.

One for one against is there plan D I would like a nice hotel and skip the BW Inn is at all possible and go to something a little nicer, wife is coming need I say more The web site looked very nice but like some of our cars they look great from 10 feet away !

Anyone know the name of that lodge sitting above Banner Elk. Looks pricey and more like a fancy ski-lodge.
Plus you get a nice windy hill road to and from Party Central.
Think this may be it.

T'was a Holiday Inn till all those 928 hooligans swarmed the premises.
Remember the morning afters and all them empty beer bottles all over the hotel patios/walkways.

If it weren't for our charming good looks (the car, I mean), we'd NEVER be asked back.
