OIL PAN BOLT TORQUE
Can someone tell me the torque for the oil pan bolts on my '84 Euro? I seem to be having trouble finding it in the SM.

Depending on the gasket/hardware, 25 inch-pounds seems to be the recommendation as long as you are using something to keep the fasteners from loosening -- yamabond or loctite on the threads, or locknuts/spring washers.
In general, the spec for 6mm hardware is 6 newton-meters +1, which is 4.4 foot-pounds or 53 inch-pounds at the low end but no more than 5.1 foot-pounds or 61 inch-pounds. Don't overtighten!

Ahh, I was referring to the torque specs for 32v motors.
M6 diameter bolts = 8+2 Nm or 6 +1 ft/lbs or 72-84 in/lbs.
Is there any actual difference in the bolts or does Porsche just increase the torque value to hold the car together better .
Edit: The torque value only changes for the M6, the rest of the torque values for the different bolt sizes (M8, M10) are the same between the different engines.

As already stated, not much tightening at all - pretty much a bit past 'finger tight' or else you risk bending the pan.
