Oh, sorry Paul, poor choice of words. The prices for the set of Zimm rotors, and your fine leather work were "inexpensive" compared to labor for a timing belt/ water pump job...there is nothing "cheap" about your work, or a 928 for that matter.

Rsky Biz...I almost thought that was a Tim Delarm post with all those visual effects...Thanks

Just giving tdelarm a 'run for his money' -- that 'Cabin Fever' has got to be tough!

Seriously Bob, get out and enjoy the car --
We want to see an increase in that '54K' in your signature, really soon!

Safe Travels!

Bob, I'd bet between us we have between $15K to $20K into that car for maintenance items and 'purty' stuff.

Where was the leak on the TB cover? Bent rim? How bad?

That car has got to be one solid ride now. I'm sure it will kick around in this community for a long long time. Miss it every day

The bent rim was on the inside edge of the right rear wheel. Not too bad but enough to keep it from getting balanced successfully. I am going to bring it to a wheel shop that says they can straighten it out.

Per my mechanic one of the cam gears was off by one tooth ( I think that's what he said), fixed that when they replaced the belt. I forgot to ask if the inner belt cover or seal (not sure which was leaking, the details on this are greek to me).

The car is looking good and running strong. Just went over 55k miles.

Should be nice weather this weekend, hopefully will add some more miles.

Cleaned and painted calipers (Red);
Brushed aluminum lug nuts
Colored Crest wheel caps

new
drivers door seal installed (old one was torn
Oil change
New

Wow. You really didn't need to do half of this stuff. Plus discs, pads, tyres, oils and fluids are all consumables. I guess the power steering hoses and TB rollers could be classed as maintainance.

PS hoses should not need replacing unless they are leaking, or old and hardened/cracking. Replacing the PS reservoir is cheap, ~$30 IIRC, and is the only way to replace the PS system filter.
