I did it the hard way too before I thought to grab the pliers and crush the little sucker. I've got plenty of "Harvy scars" on my arms.

Since we're comparing scars...I must have you all beat. I once rammed a screwdriver WAY up my nose when it slipped. My wife loves to tell everyone but I do breathe easier out that nostril than the other now.

Harvy: Enough! Next you'll probably tell us how you cut off your left leg trimming the hedge.

Harvy,
Do not keep screwdrivers in your pants pocket ..... 'cause there are some bandaid shots I don't wanna see!

Aw, that's nothing!! I once was flushing my ski boat motor after a day of water skiing. I was in the water at the dock with the motor tilted out of the water and was attaching the hose nozzle to the motor while it was running but in neutral. Of course the flush fitting on the motor is next to the prop. My friend was in the boat cleaning the salt off of everything, and he knocked the engine gear lever into gear. Instant spaghetti as my right hand was sucked into the prop and spit out again in shreds. Ouch! Surgeon sewed it all together again.....more or less. Magic. Let's go skiing again. Whee!!

Heating the hose end with hot water from a fauset, will allow the broken fitting to be pulled out with very little effort.

Good. I'm glad borland saved us from another thread on "10 things not to do around tools and heavy equipment."
