Default Hood pins

I would like to replace the hood catch mechanism with a nice set of Hood pins, can anyone recommend a quality set? Maybe Moroso?

Thanks in advance

Hood pins? You mean the kind that stick through holes in the hood?

You can't be serious.

Typically...hood pins are utilized at all four corners so quick removal of an aftermarket hood...IE fiberglass...is possible...typically a race car so the entire engine may be accessed...hood pins would look like **** on a 928..in my opinion...they have always looked like crap on any car I have ever seen them on and are usually used out of necessity...and not for a better look...the only positive would be that the area would never rust since the hood is aluminum...they always rust on muscle cars no matter how well prepared...

Hi

Umm...the 928s that do the 200 mph plus road racing...dont they use hood pins to avoid risk of hood lifting etc ??

I have also thought about them for my 200 plus attempts....

All the best Brett

Mmmmm, nipple rings for cars:

Next you'll want a fake turbo noisemaker to shove up your tailpipe?

Sorry, don't mean to give you a hard time. Just making sex jokes.

Your car, do what you want -- I saw pics in the Random 928 pic thread, and frankly your car doesn't look ghetto enough for hood pins to look right on it. I think you'd be nuts to do this.

Hood pins on a 928 make baby Jesus cry...
