86.5 Race car for sale - again
#32
Well, I am a bit surprised at this all. Thank you everyone for the support! My wife is telling me "I told you so" already.
I have to confess that I am wavering at the moment since #865 looks so right as it sits in the garage still wearing it's marks from the track. I haven't washed the "race patina" off since the car looks like a proper race car with it on. Weird I know. And today I caught myself daydreaming about challenging GT2R next year with Mark A. again at the wheel and the car a "few" pounds lighter with the ligthening mods I have been wanting to do...
Mel - That sounds fantastic about the possibility of Pano putting the Sebring Shark Shiver event in the magazine! Kudos to you, your wife and everyone that helped make this a great event! 928 owners should be very proud to see this in Pano.
Guess I need to make up my mind.
Thank you all very much,
Constantine

Just bumping this up to say this car is still for sale. The way it looks I realistically will not be able to tear into the car for awhile. Price for everything is still $12,000.00.
Thank you,
Constantine

5 speed conversion with limited slip differential and many replaced new parts during the conversion to include short shaft, two new disks, new slave and master cylinders, new clutch lines, blue hose, custom lever. The conversion was done just before the Sebring race and cost close to $5000.00 in parts alone.

So it needs a crank and a couple rods ...... gasket set and bearings ! You really should keep it but if not this is a GREAT DEAL ! Any one who has EVER built a race car KNOWS, anyone who wants to build a car will LEARN ! Rather than starting with a nice street car and gradualy over time destroying the value of a street car as the car morphs into a real race car just accept the fact that nothing short of a race car is where you wish to end up and SELL the street car while it has value or keep it nice ! And this deal INCLUDES the trailer....
