Snip the wires on all 4 wheels/connections, splice them together and fuhgettaboutit. Some of the warning systems they design are overkill on these cars. Brake pad warning is one of them. The simple metal tabs on my Expedition works great...

I misspoke...it is a $8.50 part from 928 Specialists.

I'm going to do a super duper wheel cleaning including wheel wax. I didn't think I would ever bother waxing wheels (probably a waste of time), but it gives me something to do while I'm waiting. Weather is crap for the next couple of days, so I'll leave it up on the jacks for another 2 days until the part arrives.

I know I can live without it, but I just can't stand the thought of having three done and not the last one (I exhibit just a little OCD sometimes).

Not a waste of time! I wax mine at least once a year and it really helps when you have to clean the inside and scrape off all the tar buggers.

the two wires are actually just one wire looped through the "sensor" plastic block . When the wire wears and breaks the lack of a circuit triggers the warning as does bad connections etc. Many cars ONLY fit one per axle Porsche wanted two !

Okay...wheels waxed and looking good...only a few minor scratches and one little chip, but otherwise they came out well.
If the new sensor breaks, I'm doing the wire shortcut surgery thing.

Tim...pictures should be posted in the next day or two....the car is a bit dirty, but the focal point is the new look with Zimm rotors and calipers painted red. Next "mini" project is to install the 928 s4 badging (with a red script "S")....trying to decide where to put it, the usual location, or just under the spoiler on the lower hatch edge just above the bumper (descreet but still visible).

Bob

When you get the new ones from 928 Sp and install them you will probably find the new ones break when you insert them, even using OEM pads - they have too much paint on them. As Heinrich said ditch them and check your own pads, or just super glue them in.
