Default HookedOnCars goes above and beyond!

Back a year or so ago when the raised letters were offered for the rear bumper of the early style 928, I bought a set in Black. I was thinking they were going to be just the ticket for My Guards Red beast.

Well I got them and test fitted them to the grooves in the bumper only to find that they didn't exactly fit. So several months later I take 'em to Sharktoberfest to demonstrate the fit to Nicole, which we did and at that time she offered to take them back in trade for something else.

Well I decided to keep them, thinking I could use them some where else, such as on my toolbox, etc.

Last week I was sitting at home and my wife told me I had gotten a "Drug" shipment in and asked if maybe I should go seek counseling!!

Huh??!!?

So I go look and here is this package from Hooked On Cars, and in it is the revised rear raised letters, that are now an exact fit to the early bumper style...

Nicole, bless her heart, had sent me new ones free of charge! Whats more is she is not the manufacturer of these but resells them for Jager. Now that is service!

Thank You Nicole!!

That's the way to do it! Good to know that customer service is still alive.

Yep... you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Good job Nicole! (BTW, I received my cam cover letters. Can't wait to put them on!)

Cool news. I had ordered a set of decals from that dry island in the Meditteranean, can't complain about customer service, we had lengthy discussions about measurements to identify which bumper cover was on my car. The decals were close, or maybe it was my clumsy fingers, but I had to stretch some to fit and the final outcome wasn't ideal. I wasn't a fan of the raised ones previously, but now I'm thinking I may amend that view.

I've bought a few items from Nicole in the past...I can't imagine anyone not receiving nothing but the best of service from her.

YOU ROCK NICOLE

This is great news for us but Nicole's impeccable work ethic costs her way too much. Her business is very small.

<blush>Thank you, guys! I'm glad you are happy with what I do for you!

I felt really bad about disappointing Shane with that rear bumper lettering for the 78-86 cars. Since t Shane took the time to work with me on figuring out what needed to be done, I wanted him to have my first new set, so he could test and confirm that it fits properly (I don't have an early car her to try it myself). I'm glad to hear it does.

Thanks, Shane, for helping us to make a better product for the 928!

Another example of why we should do our buisness with her.

Well I think mine went out of of her door first, as my loving wife admits to not giving them to me right away, go figure!

I got these last week too. I haven't put them on yet as the directions say it should be warm in the garage...and right now it's about 40 degrees in there.

My only concern was I put my on and then remembered I'm getting new paint in the next couple months... Hope they come back off easy whent he time comes, I'd love to re-use them. I got the "928S" as well and it looks very stock, only better.

You can use a hair dryer to warm up your bumper cover and the letters. As long as both are a bit above room temperature you should be fine.

That might be a bit difficult, as the adhesive likes to disintegrate upon removal. One thing you can try is to warm things up very well, and then be very slow when trying to remove them. Also make sure you don't bend them in the process.

The 3M materials used as an adhesive are incredibly strong - nobody has ever reported to me that anything came lose.
